Western EEO Event Monday April 30th AEA’s Western Region Equal Employment Opportunity Committee invites you to STIRRING THE POT, a mixed abilities reading of selected scenes from original works by Lynn Manning. This is a free event, open to the public. The two plays represented are the critically acclaimed OCHRE & ONYX (THE LANGSTON HUGHES PROJECT) and THE LAST OUTPOST. Both plays had premiere productions by Watts Village Theater Company; THE LAST OUTPOST was commissioned by The New York Shakespeare Festival. Neither play was written containing a character with a disability, but certain characters can easily be played by a performer with a disability. This reading is to demonstrate how that might be done. The plays themselves also present the opportunity for casting a truly diverse cast of characters. WHEN/WHERE Monday April 30th 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Fountain Theater This event is FREE and open to the public. Seating is extremely limited so please arrive early.
