The New York Audition Center’s primary purpose is to provide a professional venue in which our Members can audition for work.
Noise on audition lines can prevent our Members, monitors, and casting personnel from hearing announcements or concentrating on auditions. Loud conversations or vocalizing can disturb another Member’s audition, even when studio doors are closed.
Cellphone rings and phone conversations can be distracting when an actor is trying to focus and prepare for their audition. Please turn your cellphone’s ringer to “OFF” or “VIBRATE” when visiting the New York Audition Center, and when on or near any Equity audition line.
Food and drinks (other than water) are prohibited in the New York Audition Center. The reason: even though the Center is professionally cleaned every day, food and drinks stain the carpet and furniture, and may attract pests. Our goal is to maintain a neat, calm and dignified Audition Center, where our Members can feel welcome and comfortable when they come to audition.
